Getting to the ICA

The ICA is located in the heart of central London, on The Mall, and is easily accessible by rail, underground and road. The public entrance is on The Mall, London SW1Y 5AH and there is a private entrance at 12 Carlton House Terrace, SW1Y 5AH.

Underground

The nearest Underground stations are Charing Cross (Northern and Bakerloo lines) and Piccadilly (Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines).

Rail

The nearest railway station is Charing Cross.

Bus

The following buses stop in nearby Trafalgar Square or Cockspur Street: 3, 6, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 22, 23, 24, 29, 38, 77a, 88, 91, 139, 159 and 176. Please note that there are no bus services operating on The Mall.

Car

The Mall entrance is available for dropping off passengers but unfortunately parking is not permitted on The Mall. 12 Carlton House Terrace entrance is
suitable for off-loading. There are parking meters in Waterloo Place and Carlton House Terrace. There are also car parks in Whitcombe Street and Spring Gardens, both off Trafalgar Square.

Access for wheelchair users

There is level access to the entrance from The Mall.

Cinema 1, Cinema 2 and the Theatre are all accessible via permanent ramps. There is space for two wheelchairs in each cinema and the theatre can accommodate up to six wheelchair users.

There is no direct access to the upper gallery or the Nash and Brandon Rooms for wheelchair users.There is a small lift available but it requires visitors to transfer from their wheelchair and into the lift.
